Nice location of the hotel in the center of Venice or Milan. I had coffee at Marem Cafe Restaurant, located within 5 minutes walk. Actually the room was new-fashioned with decent size balcony and fresh towels, as example.

We booked a family apartment with seaview for 3 weeks. The location of the marinos beach hotel apartments is very good as it is down an avenue away from the busy road and in front of the beach. The restaurant/bar is nicely located overlooking the beach and is good for enjoying a peaceful snack and drink, however you do pay a bit more for the luxury. The pool is great and never really gets overpacked. If you want the pool to yourself the best time is up to 10.30am and betweeen 1 and 2.30 at lunchtime. There are plenty of sunbeds and areas for sunbathing so no need to get up at crack of dawn to put out your towel! For children there is crazy golf ,go karting and various amusement places down the road. Doing stuff on the beach tends to be quite expensive and the best waterpark is watercity beyond heraklion an hour and a half by bus. This is the place for you if you like sunbathing by the pool or on the beach, dont need 4star accomodation and like all the restaurants on a strip close by.
What I didnt like about then marinos beach hotel apartments was the accomodation.Although the balconies were large the accomodation itself was disappointing compared to other places. For the price we payed we would have got a 2 bedroomed apartment with seperate living room and kitchen with excellent facilities elsewhere. There seemed to be no facilities for washing on site so your only alternative was to drag your clothes down to the local launderette or handwash and when you are staying for 3 weeks that becomes tedious. There is no point in trying to cook anything here as there is only a 2 ring cooker, no kettle, no toaster no nothing but I didnt mind as it was cheap to eat out, luckily there is a fridge!. If you are not on a package deal dont eat breakfast at at the pool as it isnt great and more expensive than in the village.Adropolis with its comfy chairs do a good breakfast for 4euros. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from down the road but our favourites were remembers left at end of driveway and over the bridge marems at the end of the driveway and skypark right at end of driveway which we only found on the last night and has a great menu. It is probably a good idea to rent a car over there as there are no nice areas to walk around about. The buses dont come very often and the taxis are 8 euros in to the town of rethymnon, but it is worth strolling round the old town and the lovely harbour. The beach is 15km long but not very easy to walk on as it has a mixture of soft sand stones pebbles etc. If you do the walk through the samaria gorge make sure you have very good walking shoes or hiking boots as it is very rough terrain. Bring plenty of sun tan lotion over here as it is double the price of at home in the supermarkets and other toiliteries for that matter.

Great, value for money 1 bedroom apartments located with direct access to the beach (no road in between). The kitchen and cupboards were new and there was one double bed in the bedroom and two singlesofa beds in the living room- for 80 euros a night was a bargain and when travelling with small children we prefer to sleep in apartment style accomodation than get squashed in a fancy hotel room. The rooms and balcony were a good size. Although we've never before used a pool in hotels with our children we really enjoyed this one as it seemed new, generous size, well designed, very clean and was a big hit with the children as well as they had inflatable toys and the kiddie pool was the perfect depth for our 4 and 2.5 year old to paddle safely in
Towels were not refreshed during our 4 day stay although the staff were very helpful and I'm sure they would have obliged if we had asked for it. Also, the aircon in the living room did not really work and TV reception was very poor though we did not mind as we weren't there to watch TV. Area of town the hotel is located in is very touristy with british and german style pubs, but very close to Rethymno and the hotel itself is tucked away in an alley closer to the beach than the main road so you don't get any of the noise other hotels would get in the area.

Mind-blowing service from the welcoming and friendly staff, always ready to assist. Super spacious, modern rooms with a jaw-dropping view of the beach. Stunning location right on the beach, offering a quiet getaway despite being surrounded by restaurants and shops. Fabulous pool area, clean and spacious with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. Delicious breakfast and lunch options at the restaurant, with a wide selection including fresh fish. Convenient location near restaurants, supermarkets, and a beach with umbrellas and sunbeds. Amazing staff, offering fast responses and arranging airport transfers. Big and clean swimming pool with a separate children's pool. Comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen in the Studio Room. Balcony with sunset views, accessible Wi-Fi, and a good speed. Additional amenities include a poolside snack bar, off-site car park, 24-hour reception, fitness center, massage service. No pets allowed.

We stayed for 5 days during September 2010. The room was clean and comfortable, and was cleaned every day. The pool was also clean and fun to swim. The beach is 2 minutes walking. The main street, including many supermarkets and local restaurants, is 2 minutes away. Although everything was so close, the hotel was very quiet and the atmosphere was relaxing. There is lots of parking. The stuff was very polite. We enjoyed staying at the Marinos. If I had to choose again, I would consider staying there again.
Some small disadvantages that might matter to one more than to the other: The air condition works only during the night (midnight to 8 AM) and the afternoon (2 PM - 8 PM). On some days it was uncomfortable sleeping before midnight (when the humidity was high). Also, on some occasions we ran out of hot water on the shower (before 8 AM or after 10 AM). This probably happened since the water heater system is turned on a certain hour and is also central (same principle as the air condition). Safe deposit costs 2 euro per day. You get only one key for the room which also makes the electricity work. So if one goes out with the key, the others stay without electricity (not including the refrigerator).

Our room had a stunning view of the pool and beach, and the air conditioning was the best we've experienced on any holiday. The pool had separate sections for toddlers and adults, accommodating swimmers and non-swimmers. The location was excellent, being near the main strip with plenty of restaurant options. The newer suites were amazing, with exceptional decor and bathrooms. we had a fantastic time and highly recommend the hotel.
Felt very relaxed, no complaints.
